2018 Toyota C-HR Review, News

Futuristic design of the new 2018 Toyota C-HR

The all-new C-HR is built on so called TNGA platform, which stands for Toyota New Global Architecture, same platform that underpins the 2017 version of Prius hybrid. According to Toyota’s official statement, the C-HR SUV brings sensational feeling inside the cabin with lifted up driver’s position. Photos of the interior are not published yet, but officials said that we can expect high-quality materials, sophisticated design and arrangement that put the focus on the driver. Since Toyota is known for its great features, we are sure the 2018 Toyota C-HR won’t fall behind and that it will be highly equipped.

Exterior design caused different reactions. Some people are delighted with innovative look, while others think that it is too funky. However, designers achieved one thing for sure – 2018 C-HR didn’t left anyone indifferent. Things that were transmitted from the concept model include taillight in boomerang shape, low roofline, rear door handles and bulbous wheel wells. “Floating look”, which Toyota is highly proud of, is achieved trough blacked-out rear pillars and spoiler.

2018 Toyota C-HR Performance

Performance specs of the 2018 Toyota C-HR depend on the market. Hybrid version of the model will be available worldwide, while Europe and US will have different engine choices. Turbocharged 1.2-liter engine will probably be available for Europe, with 133 horsepower as well as 1.8-liter hybrid powertrain will produce up to 120 horsepower. Transmission choices will include 6-speed manual gearbox and CVT (continuously variable transmission).

US buyers will be able to choose from either hybrid or 2.0-liter engine. Transmission choice will probably be limited to only CVT without option for a manual.
